The purpose of this study is to propose a process model for knowledge transfer in using theories relating knowledge communication and knowledge translation. This study is based a thorough review of literature in relation to cognitive theories, communication theories, and translation theories. Findings indicate that the process paradigm developed in this study has built upon the theory of knowledge transfer and the theory of communication. This paradigm involves different stages of knowledge transformation, and is influenced by many factors. The developed model of knowledge transfer attempts to encapsulate all these issues in order to create a holistic framework that sums up the interrelationships among cognition, communication and translation.
