تتعدد المداخل النظرية في دراسة أسلوب الحياة وأمراض الجهاز التنفسي، ويأتي البحث الراهن کمحاولة لعرض وتحليل المداخل النظرية المعاصرة في تفسير العلاقة بين أسلوب الحياة والأمراض المزمنة من منظور مرضي الجهاز التنفسي بمستشفى جامعة بني سويف في بيئات مختلفة. وذلک من خلال عرض بعض النظريات کنظرية التفاعلية الرمزية، نظرية أساليب الحياة الصحية، نموذج المعتقد الصحي، ونظرية الأسباب الجوهرية للمرض، ورصد القضايا الرئيسية لکل نظرية على حدة، وأخيرًا الإطار النظري الموجه للدراسة.

:Abstract
There are many theoretical approaches to the study of lifestyle and respiratory diseases, and the current research comes as an attempt to present and analyze contemporary theoretical approaches in explaining the relation-ship between lifestyle and chronic diseases from the perspective of respirato-ry patients at Beni Suef University Hospital in different environments. And that is by presenting some theories such as the theory of symbolic interac-tion, the theory of healthy lifestyles, the health belief model, the theory of the fundamental causes of disease, and monitoring the main issues of each theory separately, and finally the theoretical framework guiding the study.
