يُعد قصر السلطان علي دينار أثرًا ذو قيمة حضارية ومعمارية کبيرة. کما يُعد منشئه من أشهر السلاطين الذين حکموا إقليم دارفور. وقد قام السلطان ببنائه في أعلى قمة من التلال التي تحيط بمدينة الفاشر. ويتکون القصر من مجموعة من المنشآت تنوعت ما بين ادارية، وسکنية وخدمية.  وتهدف هذه الورقة البحثية  إلى دراسة مکونات القصر من خلال  المنهج التاريخي الوصفي، والتي تتناول الوصف المعماري للمنشآت يتبعه دراسة تحليلية لعناصره الإنشائية والمعمارية، والتي تعتبر انعکاسًا لبيئة المکان وطوائف الحرفيين القائمين على عمارته. وَخَلُصتْ الدراسة إلى أن قصر السلطان علي دينار جمع بين الحداثة المعمارية السائدة آنذاک وبين التقاليد المحلية الموروثة.
 
 
 
Sultan Ali Dinar's Palace in Al Fasher, An Architectural ArchaeologicalStudy.
Abstract:
Sultan AliDinar Palace is considered a relic of great civil and architectural value. his Founder is also one of the most famous sultans who ruled the Darfur region. The Sultan built it at the highest peak of the hills surrounding the city of Al Fasher. The palace consists of a group of establishments that varied between administrative, residential and service. This research paper aims to study the components of the palace through the descriptive historical method, which deals with the architectural description of the facilities followed by an analytical study of its structural and architectural elements, which is a reflection of the environment of the place and the groups of craftsmen based on its architecture. The study concluded that the Sultan Ali Dinar Palace combined the prevailing architectural modernity of the time with the inherited local traditions.
