تتناول هذه الدراسة قضية مهمة من قضايا الأدب الحديث، فجدلية الفحل والآخر في الرواية العربية الحديثة، التي لاقت اهتماما واسعا من النقاد المحدثين لما تمثله هذه الجدلية من عمق العلاقة داخل أبناء المجتمع الواحد. وقد تصدى الخطاب الروائي لرواية مولانا برؤيته التنويرية روايات لمناقشة هذه الثنائية بما يعکس أدبيات الواقع العربي عامة والمصري خاصة.وتکشف هذه الرواية عن العلاقة بين نخب مجتمع النص: أفکاره، صراعاته، وقد أبانت هذه الدراسة تمثلات الفحل والآخر في هذا المجتمع.
وقد اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج التحليليّ الوصفيّ، للوقوف على البنية الفکريَّة والثقافيَّة للنص الروائيّ، ومدى استجابته للواقع المجتمعي. وجاءت الخاتمة لتبرز دور المبدع التنويري في نشر المعرفة، ومواجهة الأنساق الثقافية التي تسهم في تأخر المجتمع عبر إشراک المتلقي في خلق تفاعل إيجابي مع النص الروائي.

This study deals with an important issue of modern literature, Fadhelia Al-Fahl and the other in the modern Arabic novel, which received a wide interest from modern critics of what this dialectic represents from the depth of the relationship within the members of one society. The novelist's novel of Maulana's novel with his Enlightenment vision narrated novels to discuss this dichotomy, reflecting the literature of the Arab world in general and of Egypt in particular. This novel reveals the relationship between the elites of the text society: its ideas and its conflicts
The study adopted a descriptive analytical approach to identify the intellectual and cultural structure of the narrative text and its response to the community reality. The conclusion was to highlight the role of the Enlightenment creator in disseminating knowledge, and to confront cultural patterns that contribute to the delay of society by involving the recipient in creating positive interaction with the narrative text
