تعد مشکلة الإعاقة السمعية من أهم و أصعب المشکلات التي يتعرض لها الأطفال لأنها تفرض حولهم حالة من العزلة تجعلهم يفتقدون التواصل والتفاعل مع المحيطين بهم ، وهذا ما يشعرهم بأنهم طاقة بشرية معطلة لذلک يجب توفير الرعاية لهم حتى يشعروا بقيمتهم الذاتية وإنسانيتهم لأنهم في أشد الحاجة إلي رعاية تتناسب مع قدراتهم وإمکاناتهم لکي يستطيعوا أن يعيشوا حياة کريمة ، وتسعي هذه الدراسة إلي تحسين نوعية الحياة للأطفال المعاقين سمعياً من منظور الممارسة العامة للخدمة الاجتماعية مستخدماً في ذلک إستراتيجيات وتکنيکات اللازمة لذلک.
أهداف الدراسة:
تنطلق الدراسة من هدف رئيسي " التوصل إلي تصور مقترح من منظور الممارسة العامة لتحسين نوعية الحياة للأطفال المعاقين سمعياً" ويتفرع من هذا الهدف مجموعة أهداف فرعية تتمثل في "تحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية – تنمية المسئولية الاجتماعية – تقوية العلاقات الاجتماعية – تنمية الشعور بالرضي النفسي" لدي الأطفال المعاقين سمعياً.
نتائج الدراسة:
توصلت الدراسة إلي أن الممارسة العامة کاتجاه حديث يساهم إيجابياً في تحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية للأطفال المعاقين سمعياً ويشعرون بالسعادة والرضي النفسي عن تحقيق احتياجاتهم ورغباتهم وتزداد ثقتهم في أنفسهم عند الاعتماد عليهم وتحملهم للمسئوليات وتنفيذها ، ويعبرون عن أنفسهم خلال ممارسة الأنشطة المختلفة.
 
 
Abstract
Deafness is one of the most serious and difficult problems which children suffer more over, it imposes an iso lated life on the deaf children , there fore , they lose contact whit people around them. This rises the feeling of being a disabled human power . there fore, the due care should be given to them so that they can feel their personal value and humanity ,as they are in a bad need for a kind of care that suits their abilities to help them have a better life.
This study seeks to improve the quality of life of children with hearing impairments from a perspective of  the  generalist  practice of Social Work, using its strategy and techniques necessary for that.
 Objectives of the study
The study starts from the main objective of "reaching a proposed perception from the perspective of generalist  practice to improve the quality of social life for children with hearing impairment." This goal is divided into a group of sub-goals represented in “achieving social justice - developing responsibility for hearing-impaired children - strengthening social relations - developing  the feeling of psychological satisfaction among hearing-impaired children.
Results of the study
The study found that generalist  practice as a modern trend contributes positively in achieving social justice for hearing-impaired children and they feel happiness and psychological satisfaction when fulfilling their needs and desires, and their self-confidence increases when relying on them, bearing responsibilities and implementing them, and expressing themselves during the practice of  different  activities.
